Mark Webster - Senior Vice President and General Manager·Oracle Construction and Engineering
Dr. Burcin Kaplanoglu - Vice President, Innovation, Oracle Industry Lab·Oracle Construction and Engineering
Dr. Burcin Kaplanoglu is a recognized industry technologist, innovator, thought leader, and keynote speaker. He leads innovation for the Oracle Vertical Industries and is the co-founder of Oracle Industry Labs. Oracle Vertical Industries provide best of breed industry solutions including Construction and Engineering, Energy and Water, and several other sectors. He also is chair of the Board Committee at the Institute for AI in Construction funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) since 2020. In 2022, Kaplanoglu received the prestigious James B. Porter Award for Technology Leadership by the Construction Industry Institute (CII) in recognition for his contributions, innovation and dedication to the E and C industry. Prior to joining Oracle, he was vice president, director of operations at Lendlease’s Telecommunication’s infrastructure business unit, where he was responsible for innovation, strategy, and operations. During his 16 years at Lendlease, he led construction projects, spearheaded national real estate development programs, developed corporate operational systems, and initiated process improvements to operations.
Benjamin Breen - Global Director of Construction and Vice President, Asia Pacific·Project Management Institute (PMI)
Ben Breen is Global Director of Construction and Vice President of the Asia Pacific region at the Project Management Institute. Originally from Australia, Ben moved to Singapore in 1994 and has since supported or led hundreds of projects including iconic developments such as Marina Bay Sands and the award-winning Suntec Convention Centre. He has founded several project management and design companies, helping them to grow and develop into best-in-class providers. Before joining PMI, Ben served as Managing Director, South East Asia at Space Matrix Design Consultants Pte Ltd, Singapore, where he was responsible for servicing Space Matrix’s clients who were looking to expand their global footprint across Asia. He has also led the company’s digital transformation – moving it to the forefront of digital technology for interior design and building firms. Ben has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in building engineering from Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, and is based in PMI’s office in Singapore.
Robert Maiale - Built Environment Product Owner·Project Management Institute (PMI)
Bob Maiale, PMP, is the Product Owner for the Construction curriculum at PMI. He has been with PMI for 4 ½ years after spending decades in the private sector as a trainer and practitioner. He has delivered project management seminars to a global audience while working for an Authorized Training Partner. His clients included Citibank, Chase, Avon, Prudential, MetLife, IPG, Kraft Foods, Staples, Tiffany & Co., and the Kennedy Space Center. He was also a PM practitioner having managed projects and built and run PMOs for Citrix, Verizon Wireless, AECOM, Canon USA, and Platform Specialty Products. His roots are in IT where he began his career in NYNEX, one of the “baby Bells” that was created with the breakup and divestiture of the Bell System. Bob has spoken and presented at many PMI chapters and conferences over the years and is the former Vice President of Education for the South Florida PMI Chapter.
Vishal Verma - Program Implementation Manager·Burns and McDonnell
Vishal Verma is a Construction Program Implementation manager for Burns and McDonnell. He is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP)® and PMI-CP with more than two decades of experience in program, project, and construction management. Vishal develops specialized program management solutions on complex projects around the world. He works closely with major utilities in the United States and globally, delivering best practices for their design and construction projects and programs.
