All positions are 2 year terms (with certain positions having the option to extend for a second term). Officers are elected at the chapter's Annual General Meeting, and Directors are appointed. The President Elect automatically becomes President and subsequently Past President. The Board meets approximately 12 times a year.

Barb Cross, PMP, has been on the Board of Directors for four years as the VP of Professional Development, and is now President for the Chapter. She works with EXP Consulting as a trainer and consultant.

Jonathan Moore-Wright profile pictureJonathan Moore-Wright, Past President

Jonathan is pleased to serve as your Past President. He has been a member of PMI and the North Saskatchewan chapter since 2010 and has previously served terms as Vice President of Advocacy and Vice President of Communications. In his professional life he has held leadership roles in IT and project management for nearly 28 years and is currently an IT project manager at the City of Saskatoon. Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, travelling as often as possible. He is also an avid singer and bass player with a number of musical groups in Saskatoon including the Saskatoon Symphony Chorus and the 3M2C Latin Band. He is a strong advocate of volunteerism, and currently serves on the board of directors of the Saskatoon Opera.

I am an IT project manager dealing mainly with applications development and installation. I have 32 years' experience, including 24 years in the central IT group at the University of Saskatchewan, and the last 12 as a PM. Most of my work has been with student administration systems and teaching & learning applications. A PMI member for 13 years, I obtained my PMP 3 years ago. I retired in 2015.

Trevor Cross, PMP, previously served on the PMI North Saskatchewan Chapter Board as Vice President Programs from 2012-2015 and is currently the Vice President of Marketing. He works at Innovation Place as the Vice President, Corporate Services & Initatives.

Jeff is serving as VP of Professional Development following 3 years as a PDD volunteer and 1 year as Director of PDD. Jeff is a University of Saskatchewan graduate (2001) majoring in Computer Science. Jeff began his career as a programmer/analyst with ESTI Consulting Services in 2001 and found himself elevate to a lead role where he ultimately took an interest in project management. In 2012, Jeff became a certified PMP, and continues to do PM consulting under the ESTI banner. Jeff’s recent clients include Saskatchewan Teachers Federation; Cameco; Government of Saskatchewan – Ministry of Environment; Ministry of Corrections, Public Safety, and Policing; SK Water Security Agency; MTS; and PotashCorp. Away from work, Jeff enjoys marathon training, Roughriders football, travel, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Ruth is serving as VP Volunteers and brings experience leading projects and Project Managers in the telecommunications, financial and R&D (Research & Development) industries. She has delivered many successful professional and volunteer projects, is a previous winner of the PMI North Saskatchewan Chapter Project of the Year award and contributed to the project management community as VP Professional Development, PMI North Saskatchewan Chapter 2009-2012. Leisure time is often enjoyed at the lake with family and friends.

Laurie Hayes, PAg, MSc, PMP, is the Director of Accounting. Her role is to, with the VP of Accounting, oversee all financial activities. Laurie, a Professional Agrologist with PMP certification, has 30 years of progressive leadership and management experience. She has led strategic planning, policy development and enterprise risk assessment for volunteer, non-profit and government agencies. Laurie has successfully managed more than 100 projects funded through 15+ agencies and 20+ programs, with budgets ranging from $500 to $12M. She brings a proven track record of leadership success, astute financial management, and a skill for understanding and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders with diverse perspectives. She is an active volunteer in her personal and professional communities.

As the Director of Media, Amanda works closely with the VP of Marketing, Dir. Sponsorship and Dir. Outreach. The Dir. of Media's responsibilities include overseeing all media and communications including the chapter newsletter, website, social media channels, and all other digital assets. Amanda is an IT project manager from Saskatoon. She enjoys working on challenging projects ranging from software implementation to digital strategy and website creation. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors with her family.

Nathan Ziegler, P.Eng PMP, is serving as the Director of Education & Certification. Nathan has recent experience with the PMP exam; successfully writing the exam in the spring of 2016. In his professional life, Nathan is an electrical engineer focused on sustainable energy projects. His role, as the Sustainable Electricity Engineer for Saskatoon Light & Power, is to promote and explore new ideas for power generation utilizing renewable and/or low impact energy sources.

Stacey Love is Director of Governance for PMI North Saskatchewan, where she ensures that the board is operating effectively, in accordance with PMI and Saskatchewan requirements. Stacey is a mother of 2 girls and Managing Partner of her family business, LovePS, where she consults as a Project Manager and Engineer. She also works with Advance-Tek Consulting as an SR&ED Practitioner. In her theoretical free time, Stacey is Co-Director of Fundraising and the Web Services Lead for Business and Professional Women of Saskatoon, and a member of the Saskatoon Stock Car Racing Association.

James Johannesson is the Manager, Library System at the University of Saskatchewan Library. Previous to this, James gained significant management and systems experience at the University of Calgary and in other units at the University of Saskatchewan including University Relations, Information and Communications Technology and Student and Enrollment Services. James has interests in project management and how it intersects with quality in ongoing projects.

Diego is a PMP and CAPM certified professional with PM experience in different industries, such as retail, energy, and construction. Holding a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering – Cloud Computing and a fan of Agile practices, he strives to build bridges across stakeholders to achieve goals, either as a Project Manager or a Business Analyst. Diego volunteered with PMI study groups in his home country, Brazil and now manages PMI-NSC social media channels on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Corey has over 15 years of project, program and portfolio management experience across a number of industries including aerospace and defence, insurance, and financial services. Corey brings with him over 7 years of experience as a PMI chapter leader having service as the VP of Programs, VP of Marketing, and the VP of Communications with the PMI Regina South Saskatchewan Chapter.

Erin works closely with the VP of Volunteer to ensure those who volunteered are recognized for their efforts. Professionally, she currently coordinates and manages medium to large scale projects in the remediation sector.

Yemisi is a project management professional with a combination of 10years of Project management, environmental engineering, facilitation and leadership development experience. She has a wealth of knowledge around leadership effectiveness, business case writing, project management application, team building, effective communication and change management. Yemisi currently works as a project management consultant and a corporate trainer. She is always passionate about working with people who want to lead their organizations and teams to achieve higher results. She holds a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a Leadership certification with the John Maxwell Team.

Jennifer joined the PMI North Saskatchewan Chapter as Event Administrator in late 2017. In the fall of 2017, she earned her PMP credential while working on construction projects in the heavy industrial sector. She also holds a Professional Engineering designation and volunteers on her local community association executive board in the role of Volunteer Coordinator.

Diacre is the secretary for PMI North Saskatchewan. He graduated from University of Saskatchewan with a Computer Science degree and a minor in Entrepreneurship. He became a Certified Associate Project Management. Diacre works at the Saskatoon Region Association of REALTORS® as a System Specialist. He likes to Network and meet new people. In his spare time he likes camping, hiking and going on road trips.
